Graduate and Undergraduate Student Opportunities

Graduate Students

  • If your research is connected to CENI’s mission, we invite you to introduce yourself and your project to our team. There are many ways our network of faculty and educators may be able to support your work.

  • CENI faculty are occasionally available to serve on master’s or doctoral committees. Contact individual faculty members [link to profiles] to discuss their availability.

  • CENI is excited to partner with the Graduate School to open membership in the Collaborative Educational Research Impact Community (CERIC) to any active graduate student at Virginia Tech. CERIC is a forum for the exchange of new insights about educational ecosystems, development of community engagement and applied research skills, and inspiration for interdisciplinary collaboration.

Undergraduate Students

  • Each year, CENI hires a small group of talented students to assist with our engagement activities (e.g., Hokie for a Day) and other projects. We hire students from any major with a sincere interest in our work and a willingness to contribute to CENI’s mission and goals. These opportunities are posted in Handshake.

  • CENI student alumni are actively pursuing advanced degrees, working in schools and museums, and engaging in informal education programs around the world. [In the future, we may try to add a profile of an alumna/us using their experience.
