Matthew Vollmer

Matthew Vollmer is a professor in the Department of English at Virginia Tech, where he directs the MFA program in Creative Writing. A Pushcart Prize winner and NEA Fellow, Vollmer is the author of six books, including All of Us Together in the End, a memoir exploring themes of family, grief, and mystery. His work spans fiction and creative nonfiction, with essays and stories appearing in The Paris Review, Best American Essays, and Ploughshares. Recognized for innovative pedagogy, he has developed courses on hybrid literary forms and AI in writing, fostering creativity and critical engagement among his students.
