Sarah L. Rodriguez

Associate Professor of Engineering Education

Sarah L. Rodriguez is an Associate Professor of Engineering Education and an affiliate faculty member with the Higher Education Program at Virginia Tech. Her work centers STEM environments and identity development for historically marginalized populations at higher education institutions. Dr. Rodriguez is co-editor of the award-winning book, Latin* Students in Engineering: An Intentional Focus on a Growing Population and author of the book Supporting Latinas in Engineering and Computing: A Chicana Feminist Approach. She is originally from rural East Texas, was a community college transfer student, and is a proud Gates Millennium Scholars Program alum.
